2014 Team RH Athletes

Team Runner's High 2014

Runner's High has chosen it's athletes for the 2014 Team RH. These athletes show the commitment, dedication, and excellence that makes us proud to have them on our team.

Returning from 2013 and with an Ironman under his belt and ending the season with an overall win, we have Alexander Landt. The Florida native and spectacular swimmer currently races with the University of Wyoming triathlon team and continues to support the Huntsman Cancer Foundation through Huntsman Hometown Heroes to help raise money to support cancer research programs. You can learn more about Alexander on his website at alexanderlandt.weebly.com/.

Our new triathlete this year is Mike Lestingi. This Texas resident is no stranger to success as he has dozens of age group wins and top 3 placements and is a 10 time National AG Championship qualifier. This year's goals include qualifying for the World Championship at AG Nationals, winning at least 3 more AG titles, staying healthy, happy, and injury-free, and of course always improving his times.

Shawn Bussert is our new runner from Washington. A Boston qualifier, he finds a lot of success with long distances. He has won the overall titles at two different 50K races, one of which was a sub 4 hour performance! In his first ever 100K ultra he got 2nd place and for 2014 he is looking to get back into ultras. Looking into 2015, he would also like to tackle a 100 miler.

Our other new runner is Scott Hicks from Missouri. Scott prefers the half-marathon to marathon distance and his goals this year are to run the Boston Marathon in under 3 hrs and post a sub 1:20 half marathon time. Along with running, Scott also races in other disciplines. He has raced triathlons from Sprint to Half-Ironman distance, done a 100 mile bike ride, and a Tough Mudder.

Kaki Petit is our first Obstacle Racing athlete. The Virginia native races on the elite level in the Spartan Race Series. She finished 8th among elite females in last year's World Championship Ultra Beast race in Vermont. Her goals for this year are to be ranked in the top 10 nationally for the Spartan Race Series, make the podium at this year's World Championship Ultra Beast and Spartan Ultra Beast, rank in the top 3 nationally for her age group, and to compete in more ultras.

Of course we have also teamed up with the DE Swim and Fitness Center Tri-Dawgs. This team boasts the 2013 Greater Atlantic Club Challenge title and is full of great athletes from novice to elite. You can learn more about them on their club website at tridawgs.blogspot.com.

That's Team RH 2014! We wish all of our athletes great health and success for the coming season!
